Three Macs, any Macs, your choice

Dettivo licenses allow up to three active Macs. Updates are gated by the same license, so an inactive or revoked device can’t pull a newer build.

Activating a new Mac

  1. 1. Open Dettivo on the new Mac and complete onboarding.
  2. 2. In Settings > Cloud, paste your license key.
  3. 3. Tap Save + Validate. Done.

Switching Macs

  1. 1. On any Mac with Dettivo active, open Settings > Cloud.
  2. 2. In Device Activations, find the Mac you’re retiring and tap Revoke.
  3. 3. Activate the replacement Mac normally.

Hit the 3-device limit?

Activation on a fourth device will be denied until you revoke one of the active activations. Dettivo will tell you which slot is blocking the new activation.

Lost access to a Mac you can’t revoke?

Email support with your license key. We’ll revoke the old activation on your behalf once we confirm ownership.

Privacy note. Dettivo stores only the device ID (a locally-generated identifier), first/last-seen timestamps, and the IP/user-agent of activation requests. We do not receive any of your dictation or meeting content.
