Terms of sale and service

What you’re buying
A one-time lifetime license to use Dettivo on up to three Apple Silicon Macs, plus secure auto-updates for the lifetime of the product. No subscription. No seat count. No recurring charges. If public trials are open, a trial is email-only, lasts 7 days, and does not automatically charge you.
License grant
We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to install and use Dettivo on up to three Macs you personally operate. You may not resell the license, redistribute the binary, or strip the license-activation mechanism.
Acceptable use
Dettivo captures audio locally. You are responsible for complying with the laws in your jurisdiction about recording conversations and capturing meeting audio. We provide disclosure tooling; we cannot provide legal consent on your behalf.
Refunds
We offer a 14-day refund on Dettivo licenses. A full refund marks the license refunded and revokes active device activations. New protected actions and secure updates stop once Dettivo checks the license online. Full policy on the refunds page.
Ambassador Program
The Ambassador Program terms on /ambassadors#terms are the source of truth for the program.
Approved ambassadors earn 20% of referred Dettivo lifetime license sales, including same-key trial upgrades when the referral cookie survives through Checkout. Approved referral links set a first-party Dettivo referral cookie for 90 days and use last-touch attribution.
Commissions start as pending, become payable after the 14-day refund window closes, and are reviewed monthly for manual payout. Self-referrals do not earn commission, and ambassadors may not bid on Dettivo brand terms in paid search.
This is an attribution-only v1 program. There is no buyer discount, automatic payout account, or public earnings dashboard. Applications are reviewed manually, and accounts may be suspended for spam, misleading claims, or support burden.
Disputes + chargebacks
If you open a payment dispute, the license is revoked when the dispute is created, active device activations are revoked, and future entitlement validations deny protected use. This is automatic via the Stripe webhook and not a judgement on the dispute itself.
Updates
Secure updates are gated by an active license. If your license is refunded, revoked, disputed, or an activation is revoked, your ability to fetch new update artifacts ends once Dettivo checks the license online. Trial licenses never authorize after their known expiry. Already-created local data remains available.
Warranty disclaimer
Dettivo is provided as-is. We do not warrant that transcription or meeting analysis will be accurate, complete, or fit for any specific purpose. You are responsible for reviewing Dettivo output before relying on it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability under these terms is capped at the amount you paid for the license, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
