§ Migrate from Wispr Flow
Migrating from Wispr Flow
Reproduce your Wispr Flow workflow in Dettivo with three settings: bind Push-to-Talk to the chord you already use, enable the dictionary for your project names, and (optionally) enable Enhanced mode with the bundled local model. No subscription, no cloud round-trip.
Who this is for
Existing Wispr Flow users on Mac evaluating Dettivo, or moving over because of subscription cost, privacy posture, or the lack of a developer surface.
What maps cleanly
Push-to-Talk + Toggle dictation are the same concept. Polish output (Wispr's default cleanup) maps to Dettivo Polish mode. Direct insertion into the focused app is the same. App-aware polish profiles exist in both.
What is different
Local by default
Dettivo runs WhisperKit + MLX locally. Wispr is cloud-based by default.
One-time license
Dettivo is a one-time $45 license for three Macs. No subscription.
Developer surface
CLI, REST, MCP all bundled. Wispr does not have a comparable surface.
Meeting capture included
Dettivo does meetings; Wispr is dictation-only.
