How to dictate in VS Code with Dettivo
Click into any VS Code text surface, hold Push-to-Talk, speak. Dettivo runs local speech-to-text, then Enhanced mode recognizes VS Code as a code app and applies code-aware Polish: fewer conversational rewrites, more code-fence preservation, paths and flags kept intact.
Who this is for
Developers writing code review comments, commit messages, inline notes, doc strings, terminal notes, or long prompts for a coding agent inside VS Code.

Dictate
Push-to-Talk. Speak the comment, command, or message. Polish preserves backticks, paths, flags, and code fences.
Coding-agent dictation
Inside an agent chat panel (Claude Code, Continue, Cursor agent), dictation behaves identically. Hold the hotkey, speak the prompt, release. The agent receives clean text, and MCP can also search or insert Dettivo transcripts when the agent needs prior context.
