§ Languages
Languages + profiles
Pick a default language in Settings › Languages. Add per-language profiles to bind their own hotkey, vocabulary list, and model override. Auto language detection is available on supported STT engines.
Who this is for
Bilingual users who switch between two or three languages on the same Mac. Researchers and writers working in multiple languages on different projects.

Settings › Languages
- Default language
- The language used when no language-profile hotkey is active.
- Add Language
- Creates a new language profile. Each one carries its own vocabulary and (optionally) its own model.
- Profile editor
- Language, model override, hotkey, per-language vocabulary editor. Clear Hotkey removes the binding.
- Per-language vocabulary
- A plain-text editor for terms specific to that language. Imported into Polish for sessions tagged with that profile.
How profile hotkeys work
Each language profile can carry its own global hotkey. Press it and Dettivo starts dictation in that language, using that profile's vocabulary and model override, ignoring the default. The default hotkey continues to use the default language.
