Pick the symptom you are seeing. Each guide lists the most common root cause first, the macOS pane that owns the toggle, and the steps to confirm the fix worked.

Anyone whose Dettivo install just stopped doing something it used to do, or whose first-time setup is stuck on a permission or activation step.

Hotkey not working
Push-to-Talk or another hotkey does nothing. Usually Input Monitoring.
Insertion blocked
Dictation runs but text does not appear in the app. Usually Accessibility.
Meeting audio missing
Meeting started but participants are silent. Usually system-audio permission or Core Audio tap fallback.
MCP cannot connect
Agent host shows the MCP server as failed. Usually socket or token.
License activation failed
Save + Validate returns an error. Usually network or key typo.
