Claude Code + Dettivo MCP

Run `dettivo mcp config --host claude-desktop --write` (Claude Code reads the same MCP server config). Restart Claude Code. The agent now has tools to search your transcripts, start dictation, import audio, and insert into the focused app.

Who this is for

Claude Code users who want their coding agent to read their dictation history and drive Dettivo without leaving the chat.

Set up

  1. 01

    Install the CLI

    `dettivo install-helper --link` if you have not already.

    Terminal

  2. 02

    Drop the MCP config

    `dettivo mcp config --host claude-desktop --write`. Writes the server entry into your Claude config.

  3. 03

    Restart Claude Code

    Required for it to pick up the new MCP server.

  4. 04

    Verify

    Ask the agent: "List my recent Dettivo transcripts." Real results should come back.
